HOW DOES IT WORK?
Car sized passenger capsules travelling in 1 .5m (5’) diameter tubes on friction-less maglev. The air is completely eliminated from the two-way tubes which are constructed along a travel path. Airlocks at stations enable the move of capsules without recognizing air. Linear electric motors speed up the capsules, which then coast by means of the vacuum for the rest of the travel having no additional power. The majority of the power is regenerated when the capsules slow down. ET3 can give 50 times a lot more travelling per kWh than electric powered cars or trains.
An ET3 capsule weighs about 183 kg (400 lbs), however similar to a vehicle, carry about six persons or 367 kg (800 lbs) of cargo. When compared to high speed rail, ET3 requires only 1/20th the material to construct since the automobiles are just so light. With automated passive switching, a pair of ET3 tubes can go over the capacity of a 32 lane freeway. ET3 is usually developed for 1/10th the cost of High Speed Rail, or 1/4th the cost of a freeway.
